For over 40 years, this family-owned market has been a go-to spot in the Deerfield Valley for fresh local produce, Vermont cheeses, hand-cut meats, and hot meals to go. Swing by their deli for breakfast or lunch— their sandwich line-up (including hot breakfast sandwiches) is especially popular and perfect for grabbing on the go.

We love this spot—it’s always a blast. Big portions, great pub food, an arcade for the kids (and kids at heart), and a buzzing bar upstairs. The perfect place to kick back after a day on the mountain.

Trail 87 brings modern American cuisine to the heart of the area, mixing quality flavors with creative presentation. Whether you're in for elevated comfort food, seasonal dishes, or inventive cocktails, this is a spot that’s perfect for a night out or a special meal. The ambiance strikes that sweet balance—sophisticated but relaxed—and it’s a great choice when you want more than “just a bite.” 

A local favorite that nails the balance between refined and downright delicious. Think perfectly seared scallops with maple bacon butter, hand-cut fries that steal the show, and oysters so fresh they taste like the coast. Whether you’re grabbing a burger after the slopes or settling in for a full dinner, every dish here feels like a reward worth lingering over. 

Black Ember serves up smoky, tender favorites like ribs, brisket, and pulled pork alongside classic sides. The atmosphere is warm and lively, making it a great spot to gather, sip a drink, and dig into a plate of barbecue that always hits the spot.

One of our favorite spots, this refined take on rustic American cuisine by Executive Chef Chris Lauinger is our go-to for inventive and consistently delicious food. The staff is welcoming and friendly, and when they recommended the house-made pappardelle with herb-whipped ricotta, tomato mushroom ragout, spinach, and pecan crumble during a company outing, it quickly became a team favorite.

 If you're craving fresh seafood with a relaxed yet polished vibe, Anchor is a must. The menu dives into classic favorites—lobster rolls, clam chowder, scallops, and more—all cooked with care and flair. With warm hospitality and delicious food it’s a perfect spot to unwind over a great meal after a day of exploring. 

We very much agree with Alpenglow’s description of itself as 'nestled in the heart of downtown Wilmington, Vermont, Alpenglow Bistro exudes warmth, friendliness, and a sense of belonging that guests experience in our cozy, sumptuous mountain abode.' We’d also like to add that the veal schnitzel is out of this world and an absolute must-try.

Tucked inside the historic White House Inn in Wilmington, Clara’s Cucina Italiana delivers a warm, elegant dining experience that feels both classic and intimate. With its fireside dining room and garden patios, it’s perfect for a romantic evening or quiet dinner after a day in the mountains. The menu blends Northern Italian favorites with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients — think pasta, risotto, and house-crafted sauces with elegance but without pretense.

Whether you’re celebrating something or just treating yourself, Clara’s is the kind of spot where the ambiance matches the food. Highly recommended.

Snow Republic pours great craft beers alongside cocktails and pub favorites, making it a go-to spot for après-ski or a laid-back evening with friends. With locations in Dover and Brattleboro, it’s an easy stop wherever your Vermont travels take you. 

Set along the Deerfield River, Valley Craft Ales serves up excellent house beers in a lively, welcoming atmosphere. With regular live music, it’s a must-stop for a fun night out in Wilmington. 

Perched next to the scenic Hogback Mountain overlook, Vermont Distillers is a family-owned, solar-powered craft distillery best known for its maple cream liqueurs, bourbons, and Catamount Vodka. The tasting room offers samples, cocktails, and bottle sales with sweeping Green Mountain views from the deck. It’s an easy 25-minute drive from West Dover and makes a perfect stop after exploring the valley. Ask about their Distilled Spirits Tasting Passport or seasonal small-batch releases—you’ll get authentic Vermont flavor in every sip.
